Professional education:

1986 graduated from Kaunas Medical Institute (currently – Lithuanian University of Health Sciences) with a degree in medicine;
1986 – 1987 performed a surgery residency at Klaipėda City Hospital (currently – Klaipėda University Hospital);
1996 awarded the degree of surgeon of the highest qualification category; 1988 acquired the qualification of a medical surgeon;
2008 – 2010 graduated from the European Academy of Obesity, Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm;
