That is why we try to have everything planned in advance and make sure your bariatric surgery journey is as smooth as possible, even though some changes may occur. Here is a brief overview of the surgery planning process and what you can expect during your visit in Lithuania.

  • First, you send your enquiry about the procedure of interest.
  • Our customer service representative contacts you, providing more information and pricing.
  • You are then asked to fill in a medical questionnaire.

  • You can join our Facebook group to get in touch with our previous and future patients and ask practical questions regarding your surgery as well as read of other patients’ experiences at our clinic.
  • Furthermore, you can download our Bariatric IQ mobile app designed uniquely for weight loss patients.

Assessment

  • In 1-2 business days you receive a response with the surgeon’s recommendations regarding surgery.
  • Once you are approved for the surgery, you may choose a suitable date for the procedure.
  • You will then be asked to pay a deposit in order to secure the selected surgery date.

Preparing for your visit

  • You book flights and accommodation. We are happy to help you find flights and book a hotel.
  • You should start your pre-surgery diet and lose the recommended weight before surgery, if you need to.
  • Please note that doctors’ recommendations in regards to your medication as well as nicotine or alcohol intake before surgery will be provided after your individual case is evaluated.

Arriving to Lithuania

  • You arrive to Lithuania at least three days before the surgery.  A member of our logistics team picks you up from the airport.

Consultation and pre-op testing

  • A member of our logistics team takes you to the clinic for pre-surgery health tests and consultation with the surgeon.
  • You get to fill out and sign paperwork and pay for surgery.

The Accommodation

Checking-in

  • Afterwards you are taken to your accommodation by a member of our logistics team (in some cases, the check-in is arranged before your first visit to the clinic).

Surgery

  • You are taken to the clinic by a member of our logistics team.
  • You have the surgery and stay in the clinic for approximately 2 nights depending on the surgery and recovery time.
  • At the clinic you are provided with a proper post-operative diet and get round-the-clock nursing
  • You meet with our local dietitian to receive nutritional advice.

Rest

  •  After you are discharged from the clinic, the member of our logistics team takes you back to your accommodation.
  • You spend your remaining time in Lithuania resting and return to the clinic for check-ups if needed.

Leaving

  • On your departure day we provide transfer back to the airport.
  • You are encouraged to get in touch with the customer service or directly with the surgeon to address any concerns or questions before leaving the country.

  • Once you return back home, you are welcome to contact us by phone or email anytime.
  • We provide post-operative consultations and other recommendations depending on the nature of your issue.
  • If you feel unsure about what your post-op diet should look like, our Bariatric IQ app will be very handy.
